This section on ESG covers how Member First addresses issues related to climate change, pollution, waste, and energy sources. We take our environmental impact seriously and are fully committed to reducing our carbon footprint wherever possible. Our environmental journey has already started!

We have implemented measures such as promoting pollination with 10,000 Honey Bees living on top of our Artane branch, setting up bee hotels, and creating pollinator gardens in our branch grounds. We are also conserving energy through initiatives like Switch off Saturdays, using power meters, LED bulbs, and more.

Social factors refer to the issues related to our interactions with society, our members, employees, and other stakeholders. Our primary focus is to enable financial empowerment for our community by supporting our members and employees.

Member First also provides opportunities to students through internships and transition year programs.

We’re partnered with Cloud Forests to help provide Native Irish Flora, Fauna and Forest to our local community and our country as a whole.

The Board of Member First Credit Union are a diverse and independent board comprising of volunteers who are democratically elected by the Membership, to represent the interests of our Members and our communities.
